The third (so far) ugly truth regarding exam/quiz-based (in quotes) "certification" for Enterprise Architects and Business Architects.

Real Talk With Sam Holcman

The current states of the Enterprise Architect profession and Business Architect profession have some significant concerns! This video is for all of the certified Architects, aspiring Architects, practicing Architects, Managers, and Recruiters out there trying to separate architecture facts from beliefs, experiences from opinions, and sound practices from declarations.

This episode of “Real Talk with Sam Holcman” is about the third (so far) ugly truth regarding exam/quiz-based (in quotes) "certification" for Enterprise Architects and Business Architects.

If we look at the dictionary definition of "certification," it may startle some people as it does not reflect most of what's happening in the Enterprise Architect or Business Architect profession today.

The discipline of Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture are nowhere near the maturity of professional fields like surgeons, engineers, pilots, and Architects in the physical world. Many training or certification bodies for Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture are not centered around producing effective EA and BA enablement or require any proven or recognized demonstration of skills or practice.
