Federated Architecture: Currently the Most Practical Approach to Business Architecture and Enterprise Architecture

As Enterprise Architects and Business Architects, our efforts have little value if the Stakeholders are not using these Architectures to enable their strategies and objectives. We may have a “Business” or “Enterprise”, but that Business/Enterprise is made up of businesses, divisions, departments, units, etc. We have Architects who need to address each Stakeholder’s needs, while making sure that all efforts do not “disintegrate” the Business or Enterprise.

How do we do this, now in times of multiple constraints and moving technology targets, and be able to address the next important development? The answer is Federated Architecture. The Broadcast defines Federated Architecture, how it relates to The Enterprise Framework TM, the practical time and acceptance benefits, and how to keep everything aligned, as you move forward. A very exciting topic!
