Your AI Problem Isn’t Data Debt – It is Executive Relevance

Most executive teams are hearing the same message right now:

“Your Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy will fail if you do not fix your data debt.”

There is truth in that. Years of fragmented systems, inconsistent definitions, and patchwork reporting really are catching up with us. AI will expose every weakness in the data foundation you have been tolerating for decades.

But here is the problem.

When we present this as a data problem or a process problem, we lose the audience that matters most: senior management and the board.

They wake up thinking about growth, profitability, risk, reputation, and competitiveness.

So, if we want real sponsorship, we have to stop leading with process and start leading with meaning.
