The Shift Back from Technology Centric to Business Centric Enterprise Architecture
The shift from Dewey Walker’s business centric “Business Systems Planning” (BSP) to the IT centric flavor of Enterprise Architecture emerged gradually through the 1980s and solidified in the 1990s, as EA frameworks were taken over by IT organizations and used primarily to manage technology complexity rather than to architect the business itself.
