Business Architecture 5.0: Designing, Directing, and Delivering the Business
Business Architecture (BA) has followed a trajectory parallel to, but distinct from, Enterprise Architecture. While much of the market still treats Business Architecture as either a lightly rebranded process mapping exercise or a subordinate stream within IT centric EA, the Business Architecture Center Of Excellence (BACOE) has developed a practitioner standard, business first discipline designed explicitly to define and direct what the business is and does.
BACOE Business Architecture 5.0 (BA 5.0) represents the maturation of this discipline into a strategy anchored, practitioner based, and outcome driven capability that makes the business understandable, designable, and continuously changeable in human consumable form for business stakeholders.
